Dried Porcini Mushrooms

The porcini mushroom is a member of the boletus family and prefers locations near coniferous or deciduous trees. It requires humidity of around 60 % to grow. The cap of the porcini mushroom reaches a diameter of up to 25 cm and ranges in color from light to dark brown.

Thanks to its mild, nutty taste, the porcini mushroom is particularly versatile and suitable for numerous preparation types. As they cannot be cultivated, they are only collected in the wild.

At Tobien Trading, we offer high-quality dried porcini mushrooms in various cuts – as slices, granules or powder from both conventional and organic cultivation.

Fun fact: The porcini mushroom has a special ability to influence the air quality of its habitat. Through its symbiosis with trees, it helps them to absorb nutrients from the soil and thus contributes to the health of the forest.
